Welcome to The Learning Tree – Huntley

The Learning Tree Early Learning Center Huntley is conveniently located off route 47 and Reed Road, close to the I-90 tollway in Huntley. The Learning Tree is nestled in the Covington Lakes subdivision near Walgreens and Jewel Osco. We are neighbors of Chesak Elementary and Marlowe Middle School. Our center is near all of Huntley’s main attractions including Deicke Park and the downtown square.

The Excelerate Silver Circle-rated center is a full-time program that has been servicing families for over 16 years with children ages six weeks to twelve years of age. Your child will experience daily preschool programming that encourages social/emotional, academic, and play-based learning.

Meet Our Director

My name is Collette Meredith and I am the Center Director for The Learning Tree of Huntley! I have more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, including 18 years here at The Learning Tree.  I graduated from Rasmussen University with my BS in Early Childhood Education.  I have always loved working with children, especially the younger ones, as well as building relationships with the children and their families. It is rewarding to be able to share in the joy and excitement of their developmental milestones! The things we do daily at The Learning Tree set the groundwork for years of learning ahead.  Having grown up in the area, I am proud to say I attended the original Learning Tree as a child, and now have two grown children that are beginning to venture out on their own.

Meet Our Assistant Director

Hi! My name is Jane Olsen, and I am proud to serve as the Assistant Director at The Learning Tree. I have been part of this wonderful community since 1997, and it has been such a joy to watch children learn, grow, and discover their unique talents over the years.

Before stepping into administration, I worked as an art teacher, and I still love seeing the creativity shine in our classrooms. Watching children explore their imaginations and work through the creative process is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my two cats and reading. One of my favorite children’s books is Moosetache—a fun reminder that stories can make us laugh while teaching important lessons. I am grateful to be part of The Learning Tree family and look forward to continuing to support our children, families, and teachers each day.
