Meet Our Director
I started my career in 1988 after studying early childhood education at Elgin Community College. Supporting children’s growth and ensuring they thrive in a safe, clean, and caring environment has always been at the heart of what I do. I’m grateful to work with an incredibly talented and supportive team. In my free time, you’ll most often find me enjoying the great outdoors.

Meet Our Assistant Director
My name is Jessica Novotny and I am the Assistant Director for The Learning Tree of Elgin East. I began my career at The Learning Tree in 2006 after graduating from Elgin Community College with my AA in Early Childhood Education. Working with children and their families has always been a passion of mine. Being able to witness the magic of children mastering new skills, forming strong connections with the children and their families, and being able to build partnerships with the community are some of the best parts of the job! When I am not at The Learning Tree, I enjoy being outdoors enjoying the sunshine!
