Meet Our Director
My name is Collette Meredith and I am the Center Director for The Learning Tree of Huntley! I have more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, including 18 years here at The Learning Tree. I graduated from Rasmussen University with my BS in Early Childhood Education. I have always loved working with children, especially the younger ones, as well as building relationships with the children and their families. It is rewarding to be able to share in the joy and excitement of their developmental milestones! The things we do daily at The Learning Tree set the groundwork for years of learning ahead. Having grown up in the area, I am proud to say I attended the original Learning Tree as a child, and now have two grown children that are beginning to venture out on their own.
Meet Our Assistant Director
Hi! My name is Jane Olsen, and I am the Assistant Director at The Learning Tree – Huntley. I have been with The Learning Tree since 1997. As a former Art Teacher, I love observing the children while they are working through their creative process!
I believe in creating a safe, warm, and welcoming environment where every child feels comfortable, supported, and encouraged to explore their creativity. My goal is to help make our center a place where children feel valued, families feel confident, and everyone has a sense of belonging.
Meet Our Assistant Director
Hi! I’m Laura, the Assistant Director at The Learning Tree – Huntley. I have always been drawn to teaching because of the wonder, curiosity, and joy that children bring to each day. I am a kid at heart, which allows me to connect with children and truly enjoy learning and growing alongside them. I believe every experience in early childhood, both big and small, plays an important role in a child’s development and can leave a lasting impact.
I have lived in the Huntley area for over 20 years, and all of my children attended Huntley School District 158 schools. Being a longtime member of the community makes working with local children and families especially meaningful to me.
